Wang Foong Foodstuffs Suppliers Pte Ltd, incorporate in 1983 has a unique culture which is firmly rooted in her history especially in relationship to her two founders, Mr Koh Ah Tee and Mr Dave Lie.
The idea of starting Wang Foong stemmed from years of experiences in the hotel food & beverage industry. Koh was already arguably Singapore’s most highly paid butcher at that time, yet a desire to strike it out on his own finally prompted him to make a switch after 23 years at a renowned Hotel’s food preparation department.
At that time, there were no experts in this field locally, thus Koh and Lie honed their skills through much experimentation and research. In addition, Lie constantly sourced for ingredients, in particular, spices as well as machineries from Germany – the country famously known worldwide for producing some of the best traditional Bratwurst.
Of course, their daily job of handling meat in the hotel kitchens previously contributed as valuable knowledge and experience.
From the start, their business philosophy has simply been customer service and they believe in listening to what our customers prefer and want. Wang Foong prides itself in providing excellent customer service to production, selection and preparation.
